Salute gears for coast
The Salute Boxing Academy is promising to finish the year on a high note with some top boxing displays in late December.
The Salute Boxing Academy has announced that they are in their final stages of arranging cards for the boxing bonanza slated for Swakopmund in December.
The boxing tournament will take place on 29 December at the coastal town.
The bouts will involve international and national title fighters from across the world, all expected to show their mettle.
“I believe that we will at least have three international title fights before the end of the year.
“This is great news for us because now we are able to help many boxers achieve their dreams.
“We promised you that Salute was going to be there for the boxers and now those promises are being fulfilled,” Salute spokesperson Armas Shivute said.
The academy invites all Namibians to the coast as they unveil one of their best bonanzas since it was incepted.
Organiser of the event, Joseph Hilongwa assured the public that the names of the boxers to fight in Swakopmund will be announced soon.
The academy's boxer Lukas Ndafoluma is also gearing to represent Namibia in Manchester, United Kingdom on 10 November.
“Before this bonanza, we all know that our great fighter Lukas Ndafoluma has a chance to fight in the UK.
“We believe that he is ready and will bring the WBC title home as he faces the UK's boxer.
“The boxer will challenge the UK's Craig Cunningham at the Warehouse Arena in Manchester,” Shivute said.
Lukas Ndafoluma also promised to bring the WBC title to Namibia.
“People have seen me fighting and they know what I am capable of, but I am going to do more in Manchester.
“I have waited for this opportunity for so long and now is my time to shine on an international platform,” Ndafoluma reiterated.
