SWAKOPMUND
The fourth instalment of Rap Battle Conversations is scheduled to take place at Swakopmund’s Desert Tavern tomorrow, 30 September, at 18:00.
Upcoming rappers Vaughn, Meek, Ay4, Krazy and others are expected to grace the stage to entertain hip-hop lovers at the coast.
Founder and host of the movement Melissa Müller, better known in the industry as Scarlet Gray, explained how Rap Battle Conversations was conceived.
“Knowledge is power and in Namibia we don’t read enough, so we don’t improve on language, so I was thinking how could I make this fun. And that’s when the idea of Rap Battle Conversations came about,” she said.
Müller emphasised that the platform helps artists grow and learn more about themselves.
Participants will win an artist mentorship programme with Müller.
Tickets for the show are N$40 each and can be purchased from Müller or at the gate.
The first edition of Rap Battle Conversations took place in Windhoek, while the second and third were held in Swakopmund at Fachwerk Biergarten.
For more information, call Müller on 081 408 0172.
