Quality parts, now more accessible than ever

Since its establishment in 1992, the Worldwide Automotive Group (WAG) has grown into a premier motor spares supplier, boasting more than 92 Goldwagen outlets across Southern Africa and with strategic distributors in several other countries.

The group deals in an extensive range of automotive parts that are distributed via the Goldwagen outlets. Initially with the distribution of Volkswagen and Audi parts only, an opportunity quickly presented itself to rapidly broaden their value proposition to include Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Mini, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Opel and various suitable vehicle brands.

Goldwagen is an affordable alternative for good quality mechanical and body panel parts which supply to mechanical workshops, wholesale outlets, Do-it-yourself (DIY) enthusiasts, retailers, body repair shops and directly to the public.

Goldwagen offers not only exceptional service, but fast turn-around times and high-quality products.

Setting the gold standard

Ekkerd Van Wyk, managing director of Pupkewitz Motors, stated with enthusiasm that the group intends to create optimum exposure for the Goldwagen franchise which will extend the footprint in Namibia.

He also expressed that due to the high demand, the group had been striving towards participating as a contender in the aftermarket part-sales in Namibia and with Goldwagen being one of the best rated franchises on the African continent, was the ideal place to start.

He further said, that the management of the Pupkewitz Group will be supporting all Goldwagen functions in Namibia and decision-making mechanisms will rely on local expertise for accuracy and timeliness in order to meet customer demands.

Pupkewitz Goldwagen will be able to supply excellent quality, very affordable alternative parts to an array of vehicles brands along with an affordable service package for vehicles that are off service plan.

“Supporting all vehicle owners with more affordable parts and contributing to more job creation remain at the core of this investment decision,” he added.

Creating a comprehensive footprint in the motor industry in Namibia, supported by the customer satisfaction and service excellence legacy that the Pupkewitz Group embodies, the main priority behind this acquisition is contributing to the affordability of quality automotive parts to Namibians.

“We are very excited to announce that Pupkewitz Motors will be opening the first of its kind Goldwagen branch in (Windhoek) Namibia in February 2019.

With this new venture Pupkewitz Motors continues to contribute positively to the high unemployment rate in Namibia by creating new job opportunities for Namibians. Recruiting more people will commence immediately,” Van Wyk concluded. - PMG
