Prisa recognises academic merit
The Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (Prisa) recently awarded University of Namibia graduate Joy Kaperu with its Certificate of Excellence.
The organisation said the award was granted in recognition of Kaperu’s academic achievements this year. The organisation helps students in media and public relations by creating mentorship opportunities for them.
Kaperu was recognised as Prisa’s choice of the year’s best public relations student.
“Students should strive to do their best at all times,” Prisa chairperson-elect Ilke Platt-Akwenye said at the handover ceremony.
“It is important to recognise this and also award such students. Prisa not only wants to recognise students such as Joy, but allow them to be mentored by professionals in their field.”
