He recently signed to Universal Music Group and thereafter dropped his highly anticipated album, Pink Panther. The 15-track album has received praise from notable music enthusiasts on the African entertainment scene, including Scoop Makhatini.

The R&B singer, songwriter and producer told tjil that he anticipated the positive response his latest body of work has received, emphasising that he took his time working on the album. “The good response to this album is not surprising to me and I am glad my fans can finally enjoy the music from me that they have been waiting for,” said Tshego.

Disclosing details of Pink Pather's roll-out plan, Tshego said for now he is busy promoting it in his home country but hopes to do an African tour soon. “Hopefully we get to the point where we get enough sponsorship and enough requests to make an African tour happen. I have performed twice in Namibia and look forward to including Windhoek on the cities I will be touring,” he said.

On how he ended up naming his album Pink Panther, Tshego disclosed that it actually started off as a joke. The album was done and he needed a title for it and since he wears a lot of pink, he decided to just go with Pink Panther which also happens to be his nickname.

“Pink Panther is an album that captures the essence of the music I love to make. I featured some of the best artists from South Africa who also happen to be my friends, so the energy during the making of Pink Panther was authentic which comes through on the album.”
