Orlando Pirates striker outscores rivals in NPL
Orlando Pirates playmaker Terdius Uiseb is the leading goal scorer after seven rounds of the Namibia Premier League (NPL).
Uiseb has found the back of the net five times in his club’s matches so far.
Despite his hot streak in front of goal, Pirates only occupy sixth position on the NPL log standing.
Uiseb is followed by United Stars’ Wilbard Simeon on the goal-scoring charts.
The Rundu-based player has scored four goals so far.
Five players are on three goals with Joslin Kamatuka (African Stars), Muna Katupose (Black Africa), Stanley Llewelyn (Civics), Francisco Manuel (United Stars), Mwaala Ambonde and Nakambare Uaondjarure (both Mighty Gunners) all sharing third spot.
The NPL is set to continue this weekend with the eighth and ninth round of the league to go ahead following a break to allow for international matches.
Early pacesetters Black Africa are set to face a test to their aspirations this weekend since they will play African Stars on Friday and Tigers on Sunday.
Their opponents are third and second on the log standing, which means the NPL could have a new leader after the weekend’s games.
