Onathinge remains best circuit in Oshikoto
The Onathinge Circuit of the Oshikoto Education Directorate remains the best circuit in Grade 10 examination results for the past five consecutive years.
The inspector of education for the circuit, Naemi Amuthenu, announced this last week.
Amuthenu said 426 out of a total 500 learners who sat for Grade 10 examinations in the circuit last year were promoted to Grade 11 this year.
“There were only 74 learners who could not make it to Grade 11. That is 14.8%,†Amuthenu boasted, adding that her circuit recorded an 85.2% pass rate in last year’s Grade 10 examination.
She said it is a huge success for teachers, learners, parents and the entire Onathinge Circuit.
The circuit management organised an awards ceremony last week Friday at the Amunime Combined School (CS) in the Olukonda Constituency, where the best-performing principals, teachers and learners were awarded for their contribution towards the circuit’s success.
