Desmaurene Jacobs
Payroll Manager - FNB Namibia
Jacobs joined FNB Namibia in 2001 as a ledgers clerk, after having obtained a diploma in human resources management from the Polytechnic of Namibia.
She originally grew up in Swakopmund, where she completed her schooling career at Swakopmund Secondary School.
In 2002 Jacobs left the country to complete her Degree in Human Resource Management at the Cape Technikon in Cape Town, South Africa, before returning to work at FNB Namibia.
“My HR career started in 2004 when I joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a payroll and human resources consultant for a period of two years, whereafter she moved to Air Namibia as a senior HR practitioner.
"My exposure at both PwC and Air Namibia has equipped me with extensive experience in the field of Human Resources,†she says.
Patricia Hoeksema
Group Manager: Corporate Relations - O&L Group
By no means a new addition to the Olthaver & List Group, Patricia Hoeksema, has been the company's corporate social investment manager since 2004.
In her new position, Hoeksema is responsible for ensuring quality communication, stakeholder relations and corporate social investment within the group.
Some of the highlights of her career thus far include establishing the self-regulating Alcohol Industry Forum and being at the forefront of establishing the Recycle Namibia Forum.
“Leading the corporate relations functions for the O&L Group… has been a challenging and exciting experience, in so far as the complexity and scale resulting from the diversity of the group, ranging from beverages and steelworks to retail, fishing and the dairy industry to name but a few,†she says.
Werner Duvenhage
Managing Director - Rössing Uranium
Duvenhage was recently announced the new MD of Rossing Uranium by the board of directors and is to take over this role from mid-August.
He joins Rossing Uranium Ltd from Langer Heinrich Uranium, where he has been MD since 2010.
His role there, he says, equipped him with valuable experience across all aspects of mining construction, commissioning and operations.
Duvenhage is also currently the president of the Chamber of Mines of Namibia and previously held the position of chairman of the Uranium Stewardship Committee.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an Honours degree in Financial Management.
