Namib Daughters defeated Nust Babes 4-1 at the Vineta sports stadium in Swakopmund on Saturday, to take their unbeaten run in the Skorpion Zinc NFA Women Super League to three matches.
The Swakopmund-based side recorded a win and a draw in their first two matches in the league.
Joycy Tsaes scored the first goal for the hosts, to take them into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Ignacia Haoses then added a second after play resumed, before Moriza Gawanas had her shot deflected into the back of the net for Namib Daughters' third goal.
Jessica Garoes pulled one back for Nust, before Hoases, who was named Woman of the Match, surprised friend and foe when she sent a beautifully struck curling free-kick past a diving Nust Babes goalkeeper Victoria Haushona. Samantha Xam//Goases was in outstanding form between the posts for Namib Daughters.
She denied the visitors a number of scoring opportunities with good reflexes and by staying alert throughout the game.
The ten participating teams in the league, which was launched earlier this month, are Girls Football Academy, Nust Babes, Unam Bokkies, Tura Magic, Khomas Nampol, V-Power Angels, Right Way FC, Gals & Goals FC, Namib Daughters and Omaheke Queens FC.
Namib Daughters take on Khomas Nampol at the Vineta stadium on 3 November and will face Tura Magic at the NFA Technical Centre in Windhoek on 10 November.
