Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) hosted another breakfast session at Rundu on Monday as part of the Namibian Town of the Year (NTY) competition.
The breakfast session brought together businesspeople and members of the municipality and town councils to discuss future developments for the Kavango East capital.
Deputy Mayor Ralf Ihemba said he was very excited that Rundu was part of the competition again this year and said that the breakfast session was incredibly informative.
He said the council was going to work hard to make sure Rundu reaches the final four towns vying for the top prize as the Namibian Town of the Year.
“We are going to mobilise everyone from Rundu to vote for this beautiful town. We sit on the doorstep of the Kavango that has beautiful lodges. We also do small time trading with Calai in Angola, which adds to the robust business environment that we have in Rundu,” Ihemba commented.
The information sessions are held to inform stakeholders about the prospects of developing their towns, and how each stakeholder can participate. This is the second cycle of the Namibian Town of the Year.
The last breakfast session will be held in Gobabis on 15 July.
