The 2017 Namibia Premier League season will start on 12 May this year. However, it is not yet clear whether a new sponsor is on board. In a letter written to all the clubs by league administrator Tovey //Hoebeb, the interim management committee also suggested that they are planning to iron out any issues with the Namibia Football Association. “Reference is made to the above mentioned subject; we have the pleasure to provide you herewith important information. Kindly be informed that the interim committee at its last meeting held on 18 March resolved that the 2016/2017 season will kick-off on the weekend of 12 May 2017,” the letter reads.
