NMH hosts feedback lunch
About 1.9 million booklets have been distributed across Namibia and more than 700 schools have been reached.

Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) held a feedback lunch on the 28 May at the Eros Primary School hall in Windhoek.
The lunch was aimed at giving teachers a platform to provide feedback on the educational booklets NMH distributes in collaboration with the education ministry and partners in education.
The project, which started in April last year when Covid-19 hit, has brought an immense change in the education of the Namibian child.
Education ministry executive director Sanet Steenkamp applauded the fast-growing media house in Namibia for this great initiative.
“It is amazing how NMH saw an opportunity not for profit or gain but because of the pure love of the Namibian child.
“There was no need for the project to continue this year but NMH did it, whether there was funding available or not,” Steenkamp said.
She further mentioned that apaart from the United Nations family “that we have trusted collaborations over the years”, NMH remains one of the most significant, consistent partners in education.
The principal of Eros Primary School, Poppie Hamata, mentioned that this project has “forced us to come out of our comfort zone”.
“This project brought up a new approach on how we view things. It wonderful to see how the teachers nationwide are representing the whole nation, who are equally contributing to this different approach that is flowing exceptionally well.”
The CEO of NMH, Albe Botha, said this project has shown is that not only NMH but teachers, distribution team members, drivers, translators and everybody else involved who has moved the project forward.
He further mentioned that the project has proven that everybody involved has grown and moved forward as individuals.
“If you go to the level of translations where last year we only started with two languages and this year we managed to roll it out to 11 languages, this is evident that where we were a year ago is way better with where we are today,” he said.
