NHE names new CEO

The National Housing Enterprise yesterday announced in an internal memo the appointment of Gisbertus Mukulu as its new chief executive officer effective 1 July 2016.
Mukulu currently serves as Okahao Town Council CEO and will take over from Vinson Hailulu, who stepped down last August.
In the meantime, one of the parastatal’s board members, Elton Khoitage !Gaoseb, is acting in that position.
NHE spokesperson Eric Libongani yesterday also confirmed to Namibian Sun that Mukulu would take over the reins at the troubled enterprise in a month’s time.
“I can confirm that the NHE board has completed the substantive CEO recruitment process and subsequent appointment has been made,” he said.
“The new CEO shall be in office effective 1 July 2016.
The NHE board has informed staff accordingly and further public announcement as deemed necessary and formalities in respect of the CEO appointment will be done appropriately so in due course.”
Mukulu, who joined the Okahao Town Council in 2006, is a holder of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Botswana, and a Bachelor of Administration and a Higher Education diploma from the University of Namibia.
Prior to his appointment at Okahao, Mukulu was a lecturer at the Unam’s Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus, formerly known as Ongwediva College of Education.
He is also a former school principal of Erundu Secondary School.
