New funeral plan launched

Standard Insurance Brokers last week announced the introduction of a new funeral plan. Underwritten by Liberty Life, the new comprehensive plan covers the funeral costs of the policyholder, immediate family, parents and parents-in-laws, and other dependent relatives, for as little as N$85 per month. “At Standard Insurance Brokers we understand that when the time comes, one wants to be laid to rest with dignity and respect,” Standard Insurance Brokers’ Managing Director Juanita Lamprecht said. “Planning for your funeral is not a positive experience, but it is absolutely necessary. During the time of grief, rather spare your family the trouble of worrying about funeral expenses,” she said. For a monthly premium of N$85 a month, the main member and their spouse is covered to an amount of N$21 000 each, while children are covered to amounts varying between N$2 500 and N$6 000, depending on their age. At an additional N$48 per person, the main member can also add their parents, parents-in-law, and up to four other dependents. “Our comprehensive funeral plan gives you and your loved ones peace of mind, by taking care of the necessities as well as a few extra expenses,” she says.
