NamPol make several drug busts over the weekend

The police in Walvis Bay arrested a 23-year-old male suspect for allegedly dealing in cannabis on Saturday.
The weekend crime report indicated that the suspect was found in possession of cannabis weighing 45 grams and valued at N$2 250. He was expected to appear in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Another man (22) was arrested at Walvis Bay on Saturday after he was found in possession of 16 grams of cannabis valued at N$800. He was expected to appear in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
An 18-year-old man was arrested for drug dealing at Mariental on Friday. According to the report, the suspect was found in possession of 380 grams of cannabis valued at N$19 000.
A 50-year-old Zimbabwean man was arrested for contravention of the Immigration Control Act at Mahenzere village in the Kavango West Region on Friday.
“It is alleged that the suspect was found in Namibia, travelling by road from Rundu to Oshakati without any valid travelling documents or permit to enter into Namibia. It was later confirmed that the suspect came into the country through an ungazetted point of entry,” the report reads.
The suspect was to appear before the Kahenge Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
An Angolan woman was arrested for bribery on Friday after she allegedly offered a N$200 bribe to an official at the Ruacana border post.
The suspect was to appear before the Outapi Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
