Namibia’s World Cup star joins London Scottish

London Scottish earlier this week announced the signing of Namibian international Tinus du Plessis for the remainder of the season.
The flanker, who featured in all of Namibia’s World Cup matches, has 48 Test caps and also has experience of playing in England, after stints at Wasps, Rotherham Titans and Cornish Pirates.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Scottish until the end of the season and will be giving my all to the team as we look to get some wins on the board.
“Hopefully I can pass on some of my experience to the squad and after training this week I’m really excited about getting on to the pitch whenever I get the chance.”
Head coach Peter Richards commented: “Tinus is exactly what we need and can add some real pedigree to our pack. He was outstanding during the World Cup so we are excited that he will be featuring in a Scottish jersey.
“We are all determined to improve results in the next part of the season and with Tinus joining us we are confident that it will help us achieve our aims.”
