Namibia Tourism Expo officially opened
The 18th edition of the Namibia Tourism Expo was officially opened a while ago by the Minister of Environment and Tourism Pohamba Shifeta at the Windhoek Show Grounds. Arguably the biggest tourism gathering in the country, organisers of the show have promised a bigger and better event this year. It is jointly sponsored by Namibia Media Holdings (NMH), Nedbank and Old Mutual Namibia and this year it will take place under the theme ‘Community’ from 18 to 21 May. Shifeta said the expo plays an important role in tourism marketing, as it creates an environment to share ideas and for networking. “I am inviting everyone that is going to make their way to the show grounds during the expo to make sure that you have learned a thing or two from the living museums,” the tourism minister said. Nedbank Namibia, which has been a co-sponsor of the expo since last year, will offer some incredible packages throughout the duration of the expo, at the Nedbank Motorshow. “With the 2015 Namibia Tourism Expo, and particularly the stellar successes of the first-ever Nedbank Motorshow last year, we have shown that we are a ‘great place to invest’, in delivering on the expectations of our shareholders,” said Chief Operating Officer of Nedbank Namibia Limited, Richard Meeks.
