The delegation was taken through the plant, where Meatco executive: quality assurance, Rosa Katjivena, answered questions.
Meatco executive: stakeholder relations and corporate affairs, Vehaka Tjimune, did a presentation on the company's business overview, production operations and strategy in the Northern Communal Area (NCA), including its mobile slaughter unit and on its corporate social responsibility vehicle, the Meatco Foundation.
The meeting ended with a question and answer session, which allowed the delegation to ask further questions to Meatco's management with the executive: sales and marketing, Cyprianus Khaiseb, also present to respond to marketing-related questions.
In his closing remarks, Enkh-Amar Mijidsuren, who is the Mongolian government's director-general for policy and planning in the ministry of food, agriculture and light industry, thanked the Meatco executives for a thorough and clear presentation, and highlighted the exceptional working relationship between the government and the company.
He said Meatco had demonstrated best practices and achievements through the presentation delivered, and wished the company well in its future endeavours.
