Jasmine Emad-Eldin
Eldin is a part-time model at A.C.E models Namibia. They recently had their annual national conference which takes place every year in South Africa, where young models are offered a chance to impress international agencies like ICE and also attend some workshops.
Eldin recently completed her matric at Delta Secondary school. “We operate like any other school. We have theoretical and practical classes on pageantry, modelling, etiquette, photography, public speaking, grooming, choreography and many more. We have terms and exams too,” she says.
“My duties as an A.C.E model is to represent the brand to the best of my ability, influence other women and strive to make a difference. We do various promotional work for example wine tasting,” she further adds.
She says she has always known she wanted to become a model since the time when she was still playing with Barbie dolls. “I started doing modelling when I was nine years old and shortly after explored sports like soccer and hockey but found myself doing modelling again. Modelling is a huge part of my life and will always be,” Eldin said.
A few of the character traits you need to possess as a model are openness to experience, confidence, compassion, humility, authenticity, courageousness, perseverance and self-discipline.
The highlights of being a model for Eldin has been the different experiences, exposure, publicity and most importantly figuring out who you are and how to stay true to yourself.
