Maranatha Singers to make an exciting return
The internationally acclaimed Maranatha Singers will - after a long absence - entertain audiences again in and around Windhoek with a recital of carefully selected choral pieces.
The choir, which needs no introduction, comprises a wide range of age groups, diverse cultural backgrounds and repertoire of different styles. The programme, which will include a selection of fresh indigenous compositions, will certainly entertain a wide range of musical tastes.
The choir, which performs under the baton of its founder conductor, Eve George, has received international recognition with its Namibian repertoire and is currently preparing to join the Berlin Radio Choir next year in May for the Sing Along Concert at the National Bela Bartok Concert Hall in Budapest for their performance of the celebrated oratorio, Mozart Requiem.
The singers will perform on Sunday at the United Reformed Church in Khomasdal, starting 18:00. Entrance fee for adults is N$40 and N$10 for children.
The will perform at the Christus Kirche on November 3 and the entrance fee is N$60 for adults and N$20.
On November 9 they will perform at the Dutch Reformed Church mother congregation. The show will be taken to Rehoboth on November 17, where they will perform at the Evangelical Lutheran Church's Paulus Congregation starting 18:00. Entrance is N$30 for adults and N$10 for children.
