Former Brave Warriors coach and player Ricardo Mannetti says he will probably not coach any team or club, unless it is outside the country.
Speaking on yesterday’s Sport Wrap online TV show, the former gaffer said he has done what he could as a coach in Namibia.
“I feel I have done what I could here in Namibia and have come full circle as far as being a coach is concerned.
“To be honest with you, I will only be available as a technical director or advisor if I have to render my assistance to a team here in Namibia.
“I will probably only consider coaching if teams outside Namibia are interested in my services,” Mannetti said.
‘A Decade of Football’
He said his focus has now shifted to making sure that his magazine is a success.
Mannetti, who took over two years to produce ‘A Decade of Football’, which details some of the country’s greatest football moments between 2010 and 2020, believes the magazine is a way of protecting the country’s history.
Sponsored by Standard Bank, the 104-page magazine contains interviews with former and current players and coaches.
It speaks of the successes achieved by Namibian players at club and national level over the past decade.
The book also takes readers down memory lane to the Brave Warriors’ famous Cosafa victory in 2015 under Mannetti as coach.
African Stars football club is recognised for having won the most titles and cups between 2010 and 2020.
“I want this to become a yearly thing because it is important that our history remains recorded.
“At the moment, I want to tell the fans that the book is out there and you can get it for N$100,” he told Sport Wrap.
