Lola evicted from Big Brother Mzansi: Secrets

Lola has been evicted from Big Brother Mzansi: Secrets. The 23-year-old from Pietermaritzburg insists that she has no regrets, and that she was a strong presence in the house. Her exit from the house came a day after a heated argument between her, Thando and Lexi, which interrupted what had been a fun birthday party for Lexi. In the course of the argument, Lexi smashed a glass bottle, which later earned her a strike from Big Brother for endangering other housemates. Earlier in the day Lexi had received a special visit from Boom Shaka’s Thembi Seete, who entered the house for a short time, bringing with her a specially decorated pink, purple and black birthday cake, plus a copy of her newest solo CD and a fast food gift for the birthday girl. Sunday’s eviction show was an emotional affair. It was obvious that housemates were contemplating just one question: who was leaving? And within the hour, the question had been emphatically answered, as Lola walked out onto the Big Brother stage. Appearing on stage, Lola explained her reasons for wanting to take a voluntary exit earlier, and why she’d then changed her mind: “At the end of the day it’s difficult in there and I felt for myself and my health, I wanted to get out of there. I told myself if I am going to leave, I am going to leave the way I am supposed to leave.” She also spoke about her argument with Lexi, her gossiping with Thando, her blowout with Jase over what she considered a terrible joke, and finally her much talked about panic attack. Speaking to tjil after her eviction, Lola said she has no regrets, although she showed sides to her that she isn’t proud of. “In the end I had fun. I know Thando and I were always starting some trouble, but we were real and we had fun,” she said. Lola explained that she had no strategy in the game, but had tried simply to be herself. She added: “Thando and I, I don’t know how we became close. But we were just always together starting something.
