Last, but not least
Beast feels he has done his best after being in the music industry for three years. With two albums out under his name he says he has done what was needed to be done and now it’s up to the fans and music fanatics to do the rest, which is to appreciate the music. Beast says he has been here, he has delivered and now it’s time to move on to other ventures as he’s not the type that stays comfortable for a long time on one project. His last musical project is out and ready for purchase and judgement, and will also have a launch soon.
Titled Tshasimana which is his birth name meaning ‘it’s important’ in Oshiwambo, Beast says he wants his fans to forget about his other name and everything else because this album is important. “This is my last project because I want to move to bigger things.
I want to become an important figure in my country. I decided to produce something that can be played in the next five years or so and it will still be as good as it is now,” said Beast.
Beast got his confidence from his first album Taliban that got him two nominations at the NAMAs for album of the year and best Kwaito, and a performance too. He says he has achieved all he wanted musically and it’s time to take on new ventures.
“I feel there is nothing else left for me to do because I have met the top dogs in the game, I have even had the opportunity to feature some of them and I have performed in front of a live audience of more than 10 000 people, plus those that watched from home, so this is more than enough for me,” he said.
His blueprint album has 11 tracks which in his words carry the future sound. The album comprises all genres including trap, house, Kwaito, techno and Hip Hop. Beast says that he wants to bring different sounds to the industry because majority of the music produced is similar and fans won’t be able to tell the sounds apart.
“There’s a track titled Mandela which was going to be the album title - that is an inspirational song. There is also Tala which is Oshiwambo trap that’s very calm, a must-listen.
“Hallelujah features Sonny Boy. I’m sort of saying thank you to my haters because they pushed me to limits that I didn’t think I could reach.
“For the rest one must buy the CD to find out what it is,” said Beast.
The future looks bright for Beast as he has music videos to shoot before he exits the industry. “I am still around. I will be performing and shooting videos. If I am asked to feature on someone’s track I will do so. I want to observe and note all the criticism from my albums and grow from that,” said Beast.
Beast is a music producer and he will be focusing on that as well. His album launch will be held at DMT on 2 July. Entrance is N$50 whilst N$100 will get you in plus a free copy of the album. Artists such as Sonny Boy, KP Illest will be performing too.
