Kunene league to start with second leg
The second leg of the Kunene Second Division football league will kick off this weekend, with round 12 scheduled to start in Ombika, Opuwo, Kamanjab, Khorixas and Outjo.
League vice-chairperson Bensley Hanaseb confirmed the fixtures and said they aim to finish the league on time.
“We concluded the first leg last weekend and will without wasting time commence with the second leg this coming weekend,” Hanaseb said.
On Saturday at the Etoshapoort Stadium in Outjo, fourth-placed PUBS will battle seventh-placed Bethlehem Boys at 12:00, followed by eighth-placed Black Africa Warriors and ninth-placed Sixty Eleven locking horns at 14:00.
Etosha United, in fifth spot, will take on third-placed Young Eagles in an Okaukuejo derby at Ombika Stadium at 15:00. In the Khorixas derby, sixth-placed Gariseb Orlando Pirates will confront troubled bottom club Robber Chanties at the Herbert Conradie Stadium at 15:00.
Log leaders Outjo Football Academy will travel to Kamanjab to go head-to head with eleventh-placed Green Dangers at the Kamanjab Combined School Stadium at 15:00.
In Opuwo at 13:00, second-placed Kunene Namibian Police Football Club will lock horns with tenth-placed Revengers.
