Kunene league marches on
The Kunene second division league rounds 13 and 14 will take place this coming weekend with matches scheduled for Khorixas, Outjo and Kamanjab.
In the fixtures provided by vice-chairperson of the league, Bensley Hanaseb on Wednesday, a clash in round 13 on Saturday will see log leaders Outjo Football Academy (FA) confront second-placed Kunene Nampol Football Club (FC).
This will happen at Outjo's Etoshapoort Stadium at 15:00.
This clash will be followed by a match between seventh-placed Black Africa Warriors and fifth-placed Etosha United at 17:00, with ninth-placed Sixty Eleven battling third-placed Young Eagles at 19:00. On the same day in Khorixas at the Herbert Conradie Stadium, sixth-placed Gariseb Orlando Pirates will face seventh-placed Bethlehem Boys at 14:00, followed by erstwhile Namibia Premier League (NPL) campaigners and basement dwellers in twelfth place, Robber Chanties locking horns with fourth-placed PUBS FC at 16:00.
One match will take place at the Kamanjab Combined School Stadium with Green Dangers and Revengers facing each other in the Kamanjab derby at 15:00.
On Sunday, Robber Chanties will take to the field against Bethlehem Boys at Herbert Conradie Stadium in Khorixas at 10:00, followed by Gariseb Orlando Pirates battling PUBS FC at 12:00.
In Kamanjab, home team Green Dangers will face Kunene Nampol at 12:00, while at the Etoshapoort Stadium in one of the three matches, Black Africa Warriors will lock horns with Young Eagles at 10:00.
Sixty Eleven FC versus Etosha United at 12:00 will follow with Outjo FA concluding the day's matches against Revengers at 14:00.
Meanwhile, the match between Black Africa Warriors and Sixty Eleven, which was cancelled last Saturday due to security reasons, will continue on Wednesday at 18:00.
Match officials at the time felt their safety was being compromised, due to the absence of security officers during the match.
Black Africa Warriors were leading 1-0 in the 50th minute and the remaining 40 minutes plus added time will be played.
