The information regarding the Kora Awards matter that is currently before the High Court between the Namibia Tourism Board and Mundail Telecom Sarl was made public around midday today.
This follows threats by the Affirmative Repositioning movement leader, Job Amupanda, on Tuesday to bring an urgent application to the High Court if the legal documents were not made available to the public and media.
This morning the matter was still marked as in-camera, but by the afternoon all documentation was available on the justice portal, ejustice.
There were no documents pertaining to any settlement negotiations and the matter was postponed to 18 November to set a trial date.
NTB sued Mundial Telecom Sarl, Kora awards founder Ernest Adjovi and Tonata Shiimi in September 2016 for N$23.5 million (plus 20% interest) which it paid for the purchase of a Platinum Tourism Package which it never received.
Mundail Telecom owns the rights to host the Kora Awards while Adjovi acted as the president of the company and Shiimi was the national director of the awards.
