Keeping it real
I have always advocated for internet-based music sharing platforms as opposed to the traditional means of promoting music. Not to say I do not like physical CDs but I just feel the way people consume music has changed thus the way artists should dish out their music should too. A lot of modern cars, for example, have no provision to play music from a CD.
Which is why this short piece is going to be centred on why I am impressed that Namibian artists are finally embracing online music stores. Lately, music artists send me their tik tok links instead of dropping a physical copy on my desk. With concerts being suspended, it is important artists capitalise on music sales as much as possible. While doing so, it is important to note that international music stores pay less compared to Namibian platforms like ViralCom.
