Keeping it real
Awards season is finally in full swing, and this is testament to the stories carried in this edition.
After being in suspense for a few months, the Namibian music fraternity this week was updated by the Namibian Annual Music Awards executive committee, who announced that the show will go on, but online.
In this edition, we carry a piece that explains all the logistics of going virtual. What I am particularly happy with is the fact that this year, unlike previous years, every nominated artist will get a chance to perform and, on top of that, every nominee will get a participation fee.
I am really glad that the organisers are taking care of our artists in this manner as their income streams have been severely affected by Covid-19.
Enjoy!
