Keeping it real
It’s new music galore on the Namibian music scene as artists have been releasing or planning to release albums for us to jam to this summer.
For this, I would like to commend Namibian musicians for serving us album roll-out supremacy this year. In the past, musicians used to post random photos, maybe a snippet, an artwork and call it a day. Now, we are seeing more and more artists having curated media tours and investing in supporting videos such as reels, ‘out now’ videos, trailers and more.
These approaches build anticipation and momentum for the fans, which aid in the album doing good numbers on streaming platforms. Namibian artists, this may be a costly exercise, but do not stop because this is making the game interesting.
