The Namibia Tennis Association (NTA) Junior Open tennis tournament took place on 6 and 7 April.

The event attracted 45 players from around Namibia, aged from seven to 17 years. The round-robin format was designed to maximise the playing time for the competitors.

Every participant played at least four matches over the two days.

These were followed by the semi-finals and finals. The competition was for both singles and doubles, broken down into groups for boys and girls of under-8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18.

More than 160 matches were held at the Police Club and the National Tennis Centre (Central Tennis Club). The players were supported by a good crowd of parents and spectators.
