It's all up to the players – Mbaeva

Golden Arrows goalkeeper and former Brave Warriors number one Maximillian Mbaeva believes his club can still make it to the top eight, despite their poor form.
Arrows, who are yet to register three points since the restart of the South African Premier League (PSL), are lingering in 11th with only two matches to go.
The keeper has insisted that the coach has done what he could and that it's up to the players to get into the right mentality on the final stretch.
“We have not been that good since the restart because we have failed to win a match.
“The good thing is that we are not out of the top-eight race yet and anything can change in the last two matches.
“It's also up to us the senior players in the squad to encourage the players because they do need us right now,” Mbaeva said.
Crucial games
Golden Arrows' next match tomorrow will be against Bloemfontein Celtic, who are in eighth on the log and only two points ahead of Mbaeva's side. Arrows currently have 33 points from 28 games, while Celtic have 35 points from 28 matches.
Peter Shalulile's Highlands Park and Stellenbosch FC are ninth and 10th respectively, with 35 points each.
“Looking at the clubs above us, we do feel that we still have a good chance to leapfrog over those clubs if we secure six points in our last two matches.
“We, however, do not need to worry about what the other clubs will do during the next two matches because we just have to stay focused on our games we have left,” Mbaeva added. Arrows' final match will be against Chippa United on 5 September, a game which they will be expected to win.
It will, however, not be an easy game for Arrows given that six points could also secure a top eight finish for Chippa United if they win their next match before they meet Arrows on the final day of the season.
Mbaeva also congratulated his Brave Warriors compatriot Virgil Vries whose team Moroka Swallows gained promotion to the PSL.
“I am happy for Vries because he went through so much at Chiefs last season and now he will be back in the PSL.
“This shows that you must never give up on your dreams and must keep believing in yourself.”
