Is the boxing empire bromance ending?

Details of what could have led to the departure of trainer Immanuel 'Imms' Moses from the MTC Nestor 'Sunshine' Boxing and Fitness Academy have surfaced.

The dust at the MTC Nestor 'Sunshine' Tobias Boxing and Fitness Academy refuses to settle at the moment after some boxers in the academy expressed their dismay over the departure of coach Immanuel 'Imms' Moses.

It is alleged that many are still not sure if they will be able to use the services of Moses after he parted ways with the academy.

Sakaria 'Desert Storm' Lukas is apparently one of the boxers who have raised concern about the sacking of Moses.

Lukas still wants to be trained by Moses and has therefore allegedly appealed against the decision to have Moses completely out of the stable.

It was reported in December that the academy's long-serving trainer and coach Immanuel Moses had decided to resign from the stable in order to start his own venture.

However, it emerged this week that the former trainer was released from his duties by the academy and did not resign.

Sources have suggested that Moses was sacked by the academy after he allegedly refused to sign a contract he got from the stable.

Moses was allegedly unhappy with some of the details in the contract he received from the academy.

The feud between the academy and Moses came in the wake of the departure of former triple world champion Julius 'Blue Machine' Indongo, who joined another boxing promotion based in the United States of America.

However, the fact that Moses has been responsible for training and coaching many boxers at the stable has left many boxers with question marks.

Nestor Tobias yesterday refused to dwell much on the issue, stating that it was an internal matter.

“Well this issue is very sensitive and internal to speak about in the public.

“I am sure that Moses and I have spoken about this and we do not need to discuss it in public.

“All I can say is that the academy did indeed release Imms Moses,” Tobias said.

Meanwhile, Moses said that he wanted to avoid conflict between him and the promoter.

The boxing trainer maintained that all he cares about is the wellbeing of the boxers.

“It will not be necessary to actually exchange words between me and Nestor Tobias.

“Sunshine is my brother and I will talk to him personally rather than going through the media.

“What I can confirm is that I left the Academy at my own because I have bigger plans for boxing.

“It is our duty to fight for the right of boxers and who they want to be associated with,” Moses said.

Moses has been part of the academy for over a decade now and has been involved in the training of former world champions Paulus Ambunda, Paulus Moses and Julius Indongo.

Ambunda, Vikapita Meroro, Tyson Uushona and Wilberforce Shihepo have all severed their ties with Nestor's stable.

All the people that left the Academy once had a very friendly relationship with promoter Nestor Tobias.
