Inflation slows to 3.3%

Annual overall inflation in Namibia in September was 3.3%, down from 3.7% the previous month and significantly below the 4.8% of September 2018.
Figures released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) this morning show annual overall food inflation up from 4.3% in August to 4.5% last month. A year ago, the rate was 2.8%.
Annual overall transport inflation braked from 6.1% to 2.5% from August to September. In September last year, the rate was 12.9%.
