Inflation edges upwards

Annual inflation in Namibia was 3.7% in August, up slightly from 3.6% the previous month, but still below the 4.4% of a year ago.
Data released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) this morning shows overall food inflation increased from 3.7% in July to 4.3%. In August 2018, overall food inflation stood at 2.7%.
Overall transport inflation came in at 6.1%, down from 6.9% in July. Last August, the rate was 9.7%.
