Indongo is excited
The world is waiting to watch what could be one of the greatest fights in history.
Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo says he is working harder than usual for his next world title fight.
The boxer said he has been excited for the past few months because of the achievements he has made.
The Namibian faces Scotland’s Ricky Burns for a unified WBA, IBF and IBO world super-lightweight titles at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on April 15.
Indongo, a 34-year-old undefeated Namibian, captured the IBF and IBO titles with a tremendous first-round knockout against Russian Eduard Troyanovsky in Moscow.
“I have been excited from the start because this will be the biggest fight of my career.
“The feeling is remarkable and I hope that time comes so I just do my thing.
“Namibia has seen boxing greats over the years and I just want to show that more champs will emerge from the Land of the Brave.
Indongo will be however boosted by the fact that Burns has already lost five fights in his professional career.
This gives the Namibian an edge over the champion a fortnight from now.
Indo has a record of 21 fights with no defeats and an impressive 11 knockouts.
“I am very happy for the support I have been receiving from my country leaders and fans.
“I would have not made it this far if it was not for the love and respect from many of my people,” Indongo added.
