Despite multiple payments linked to some of the Fishrot Seven, businessman Vaino Nghipondoka denies benefiting from the fishing scandal that rocked Namibia and the world late last year.

Influential Swapo businessman Vaino Ngipondoka, who has within two decades built a business empire with interests in construction, agriculture, information technology and tourism, has vehemently denied benefiting from the Fishrot scandal.
The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had Nghipondoka in their sights after N$7.63 million was paid to Babyface Investments, a closed corporation in his name, on 3 December 2015.
The source of the money was Windhoek lawyer Sisa Namandje's trust.
