I am fine – Endjala
Omusati governor Erginus Endjala has played down his fainting spell yesterday morning while delivering his State of the Region Address at Outapi.
Endjala, 49, fainted during his speech and his responsibilities were taken over by the Omusati regional council chairperson, Modestus Amutse.
When contacted by Namibian Sun yesterday afternoon, Endjala said he was fine and at home. He denied that he was taken to hospital, contradicting some regional councillors who said he was rushed to hospital.
“It was nothing serious and I did not go to the hospital. I am now home and I am fine,” Endjala said.
He would not say what exactly happened and why he opted not to see a doctor after fainting. A source in the regional council also informed Namibian Sun that the Omusati State of the Region Address was initially scheduled for today but was brought forward to yesterday.
