Hitman back among top names

The MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy now has nine boxers ranked among the top 15 by the WBO, according to the body’s latest world ratings released on 20 August.As expected, Paulus ‘Hitman’ Moses makes a welcome return to the WBO ratings and claims number 10 in the world in the lightweight division. Moses will hope for a lucky break after challenging the reigning world champion in that division, Britain’s Terry Flanagan, who remains unbeaten after 31 fights. Despite losing his IBO world title belt, Paulus ‘The Rock’ Ambunda also makes a return to the WBO ranking, where he stands at number 15. This is complemented by a ranking of number 12 in the WBC ratings. Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo is currently the highest-rated boxer in number four spot, which edges him closer to a mandatory spot for the world title.Immanuel ‘Prince’ Naidjala improved his ranking from number 10 to number nine.Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas, who made his debut on the WBO ratings in July, made a remarkable improvement from number 15 to number nine. Japhet Uutoni, who is the current WBO International Jnr Flyweight champion, moved from number eight to number seven. Super featherweight boxer Jeremiah ‘No Respect’ Nakathila and middleweight fighter Walter ‘Executioner’ Kautondokwa come in at number 15 in their weight classes. “Having nine boxers ranked among the best 15 in the world is a dream come true for us at the MTC Sunshine Academy, because you cannot make any progress in boxing if you are not rated in the world,” said Sunshine Academy’s head trainer and promoter, Nestor Tobias.“A top 15 rating gives you a licence to fight for the world title.
