Govt cuts deeper into sport budget
The Namibia Football Association’s (NFA) international participation budget has been reduced from close to N$10 million to N$3.3 million this year.
The Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) today announced the allocation of funds to all its affiliated sport codes.
Codes in category A will each receive N$50 000, category B N$30 000, and category C N$15 000 for administration.
The category A codes are athletics, cricket, football, boxing, rugby, hockey and volleyball.
The A codes will get an additional international participation grant. Football will get N$3.3 million, while athletics, boxing, netball and cricket will receive N$150 000 for international competitions.
