NBC’s Hassan shown the door People get fired for many reasons. Some are sent packing for a lack of discipline at work, while others lose their jobs after drinking at work or showing little commitment. However, it is saddening to hear that NBC news reader Hassan has allegedly been shown the door for a continuous inability to pronounce words and names correctly. Apparently producers had enough, and not even his good looks could save him. If he’s inability to pronounce name and words was the reason he was fired, then the question that remains is how he got the job in the first place. Perhaps NBC is busy with some kind of language clean up or something, but it is truly upsetting that it has now lost a piece of gorgeous eye-candy. Our sympathies are with poor Hassan. Home Affairs song mocked The Ministry of Home Affairs this week released what it calls its Turnaround Strategy theme song, and instead of being showered with praise, many have expressed disgust. At first pssst! thought the cyber backlash and criticism was an exaggeration, but then she went to view the video herself. The song starts with Mama Pendukeni referring to herself as honourable. Anuwa, aren’t we suppose to call her honourable, as opposed to her doing it herself? And then there is Tequila, whose vocals are as shaky has a supermodel in a snowstorm. D-Naff also makes no sense on the track and goes on to scream: “Home Affairs is number one.” Number one compared to who? Our favourite television and radio personality Ch-Chi is in the mix, while Gospel singer Caroline also joins the not so fascinating line-up. If you are going to use our hard earned tax money to produce a song, at least try and make some sense while you at it. Extra Trevor Noah shows There is no doubt that Namibians love South African comedian Trevor Noah. Trevor is in the country right now, performing a string of shows at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN). Many Namibians were left disappointed and sad when they heard that tickets for the whole week were sold out. Some even falsely claimed on Facebook that they are going to Trevor’s show, when they don’t have tickets. pssst! is, however, happy to announce that Trevor loves Namibia as much as we love him and has vowed to return on June 27, 28 and 29. Tickets will again cost N$205. Please Namibians get your tickets today, so you aren’t left out in the cold again when they sell like hot cakes. Adam and Bahati’s SA honeymoon Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo will marry on July 19.The couple are planning a weekend of wedding celebrations in Mexico and their intimate nuptials will take place at the Hotel El Ganzo in Los Cabos. According to gossip blogger Perez Hilton, a rehearsal dinner will take place on July 18, and the Maroon 5 frontman and Victoria's Secret model will exchange vows the following day. A source also explained there will then be another gathering the day after the wedding to allow guests time to say goodbye to the newlyweds. It has been reported the couple were planning a vacation in South Africa after their wedding so they could “celebrate with people who can't make the trip” to Mexico. Behati, 25, recently admitted she has already got her wedding gown. She said: “It's bohemian, very beachy. Very me.” Meanwhile, 35-year-old Adam celebrated his bachelor party last month in Las Vegas. Jay-Z did the right thing – 50 Cent 50 Cent thinks Jay Z did the “right thing” during his confrontation with Solange Knowles. The rapper was impressed his fellow hip-hop star managed to keep his cool and not lash out during the now-infamous showdown with his wife Beyoncé's younger sister in an elevator after the Met Gala in New York City last month. The Candy Shop hitmaker told E! News: “He did the right thing. They'll make fun of it because it's an opportunity to make fun. At the end of the day, the nightmare would've been him responding in any other way.” 50 also recalled an encounter he had with Beyoncé at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, admitting the 'Drunk in Love' singer was furious because she thought he had been rude to her husband. He explained: “I don't think she understands that our energy is...it's not negative. Wasn't nobody gonna do nothin' to Jay [on Beyoncé's watch].” The incident has convinced him that Solange must have being acting in defence of her sister, because Beyoncé would have protected her husband otherwise.
