Namibia will be sending the strongest available rugby team to compete in the Africa Cup Division 1A.
The team will play its first match in the competition this weekend as they travel to Uganda to take on that country’s national team in Kampala.
This will be followed by two home matches against Kenya (16 July) and Zimbabwe (6 August).
The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) has released the names of the selected players, including those who will be on standby.
The squad consists of professional players, semi-professional players along with Currie Cup and local players and will be coached by Phil Davies.
The rest of the technical team consists of Roger Thompson (defence coach), Danie von Solms (team manager), Wayne Proctor (strength and conditioning coach), Stuart Lewis (analyst), Aidan Fredericks (team doctor) and Randall Louw (physiotherapist).
