For the love of performing

They are three dudes that go by the name of One Pack who are under the record label Fattyboom Tainment which they established.
They are multitalented - they dance, DJ and sing. The group was formed in 2010 when Bare who was already in the industry, approached Vuza and Tswana Boy and together they made the hit house track Lalala. From that one hit they performed and danced together and decided to form a group.
The rest is history. “We had a show in Gobabis and people said to us we were good as a team. We were also referred to as Big Nuz and so we decided to form our group One Pack,” said both Vuza and Bare.
To date, the group has not been able to release an album because of a lack of finances since they have started producing music. “We are unable to get studio time because it is very expensive and we also need someone to market us,” said Bare. Vuza, who is a musician in his own right, also stressed how hard it is to make it in the in industry with your talent alone and that the relevant ministries must step up their game.
“We are trying so hard to get our brand out there to the extent of even doing free shows just to build our brand - especially in the city and other towns, because our fan base is mostly in Gobabis. If you don’t have connections with event organisers you won’t go anywhere.
That’s why many artists drop music which is unfortunate,” he said. The group also said that many artists are where they are today because of their financial status and not because they are actually good.
“You can look them up and you won’t find them today because they are in for the fame and not the passion for performing and music. When we go on stage we bring our all with and that’s the difference,” they said. Bare said it’s the little fan base they have, the hard work they put in every performance or song they produce and the dedication that makes the difference.
One Pack also said they wouldn’t want to be signed to a specific brand as they want to make music without restrictions.
“These productions can make or break you.
“We want to build something from the ground up and that’s why we have Fattyboom Tainment and with the right management it will sky rocket,” said Bare.
The group has many songs released and have gained airplay on various radio stations countrywide like Loading Summer, but due to lack of marketing the songs die out eventually.
“We have a YouTube page and a Facebook page where most of our performances can be seen as we have videos that get many likes and views.
“We now have a fan base starting in Swakop and they have been asked to perform on many occasions which we will do very soon!” said Bare.
One Pack is currently busy working on their album which will be dropped soon, but otherwise they have a new song Appetite that will be released end of this month.
They are also in the process of shooting a music video for Appetite.
