Emvee excited to be in the KWF line-up
New kid on the block Emvee K, real name Victorine Tuvemue Kaaronda, is among the artists billed to perform at the forthcoming Katutura Fashion Week (KFW), and she shares her excitement with tjil.
Following her first project titled No Concept that was produced by celebrated producer Mr Glo, Emvee is back to continue what she started. “I have been making music since I was 12 years old. I was fortunate enough to have worked with Mr Glo on my first project because that gave the necessary push I wanted and helped me polish my music-making skills,”
She told tjil that she is super exited to be featured in the line-up of artists that will perform at KFW. For Emvee this means that her music will be exposed to the masses. “When I contacted them, I was not confident that I was going to get the gig because I assumed they wanted to only work with established artists, but they took me in.
“The founder of KFW believes in my talent and what I have to offer. I am grateful for the platform and opportunity they have availed to me to showcase my talent,” said Emvee. She shared that initially her 2019 music plans included doing a lot of collaborations with other artists, but admitted that she has not done a lot of those features as she had initially hoped. “I wanted to visit other people's minds and try to understand how they come up with their songs. The year is still not over so I am hoping I will get to do this before the year ends,” she said.
She revealed that she is working on her second EP titled Boujee Craft, which she said will be released in November. She added that she has big plans for the EP, which includes music videos and a well-executed listening session. The EP will have 10 songs and she promised to deliver. “I am working on good music, and cannot wait to share this music that I have been working on,” she said.
