Dixon presents Show Me Your Heart
Musician Dixon recently released his fifth album under Ultimate Rhythm Entertainment.
Executive produced by African Dream, Show Me Your Heart is packed with 15 songs. Deeply rooted in his heritage, the album is a delicate culmination of his history, staying true to his R&B, Ma /Gaisa and Damara Punch signature. There is little one can say to discredit this project. It opens with Ma Tere, a slow-tempo song with well-polished vocals. On track two, Dixon switches up the tempo and goes full swing with Damara Punch. /Guri is a well put together song with the potential of becoming a hit single from the album if marketed well.
Another impressive thing about this album is his beat selection. In terms of production, Dixon worked with Kanibal, Ash, Elvo, Gothard and also made use of guitarist Imms Nicolau on the tracks /Guri, Ego and //Gai-Xub !es. The album was mixed and mastered by Elvo.
The track sequencing could have been done better but that does not take away from the album. Dixon maintains that the album is dedicated to everyone who supports and appreciates what he does.
The album is available in Windhoek, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and Tsumeb at Antonio's Art, Young Ones, Panamo Music and Matias Music, respectively.
Rating: 3/5
