Dice scratches back at Catty Catt
Dice says fellow rapper Catty Catt must “stop smoking what he is smokingâ€.
He was reacting to Catty Catt’s tirade when he appeared on a new Hip-Hop platform called Nam TV, which showcases local artists on YouTube by recording so-called ‘zone sessions’.
During Catty Catt’s freestyle performance he went on the rampage against his fellow Namibian artists, calling them “ni**ers†who were jealous of him.
He also rapped specifically about Dice by saying: “Dice, you will never be nice. You mad cause (sic) I got the cake and won’t offer you a slice.â€
When contacted for comment, Dice said he thinks Nam TV is a great platform, but that it is being misused by some artists.
“Everybody claims to be the best. Rappers should just be mature about it and realise they don’t have to offend others in order to promote themselves,†he said.
Asked what he thinks of Catty Catt’s remarks about him, Dice chuckled and said the rapper could have done better.
“You don’t come at me like that. If you do it, do it right.
Either way, he needs to stop smoking what he’s smoking and get his head right,†he said.
He said he was shocked by Catty Catt’s insinuation that he is jealous of him, but maintains the remarks don’t really bother him.
“Look I don’t pay attention to what a lot of guys are saying.
“That’s the way they express themselves, so if attacking one another makes them feel relevant, then that’s on them,†Dice added.
During Catty Catt’s freestyle performance on Nam TV, others rappers were also not spared, including J Black who he referred to as wearing a skirt.
Mr. Diamonds was accused of doing crack and “has recorded 38 songs, of which all of them are whackâ€.
Meanwhile, during their zone session, Mr. Diamond and J Black claimed to be the best, with J Black saying they fill clubs and arenas, although there aren’t any arena performances in Namibia.
Entertainment insiders whom tjil spoke said that Catty Catt is desperate to revive his career by starting some sort of rivalry with the more popular Dice.
“He knows Dice is big and also liked by many, but in the past rivalries has helped careers get a life so everyone thinks that’s what he’s trying to do - bring back some excitement to his career,†one source said.
The source referred tjil to a post on Nam TV’s Facebook page, which announced that Dice will be appearing in a zone session. Catty Catt was quick to comment that Dice’s career is “hanging on a thin lineâ€.
“I think he’s frustrated that Dice hasn’t paid much attention to his insults and that the fans on the page aren’t really joining him in this drama,†another artist said.
Meanwhile, J Black rapped during his zone session: “All dudes on the internet talking tough behind the scene, no one believes you.
“We have the hottest songs, the hottest girls, we pack arenas, we’re the hottest ni**ers in the game.â€
