Omaheke education director, Pecka Semba, says the region has not been very successful with the e-learning mode in some of its schools due to the unavailability of internet connectivity and the lack of smart devices in most households. According to Semba about 10 out of the 47 schools in the region have not adopted the e-learning mode introduced for the continuation of teaching and learning due to their remote locations, however, the director highlighted that the region is thriving in the off-line learning mode. - Nampa

The director of education for the Erongo region, Enfriende Stephanus says the region's rural schools are the most affected by a lack of access to online education. Stephanus says the region has 78 schools (private and public) of which 20% are in the rural areas. Material are shared via social media, while hard copies are sent to remote areas and parents who don't have access to transport.

Radio, television, social media as well as print media are used in the Khomas region to reach learners. According to the director of education for the region, Gerard Vries parents and guardians are the key to the success of whether information reaches learners. Vries admits not all schools are equal in relation to equity of access to education materials and internet. According to him efforts are increased to ensure every learner is part of and participating in the new form of learning.
