'Chelete' makes history

History has been made! Today, ‘Chelete’ by Gazza has claimed the ultimate recognition as the first-ever Namibian music video to reach over one million views on YouTube.

‘Chelete’ took four months to reach the views after it was released in October 2018.

In an interview with Namibian Sun, Gazza said the success of the #GazzaMilli campaign demonstrates that Namibian artists can achieve whatever they put their minds to. “It gives me great pleasure knowing that the fans can stand behind an initiative that seemed impossible to some people. My gratitude goes towards the fans for always believing in me,” said Gazza.

He added that he was utterly overwhelmed by the support he received for this campaign, stating that even when he was occupied with other projects and did not give the #GazzaMilli campaign sufficient attention his fans kept pushing the campaign on his behalf. “I owe this success to my fans; not myself, not my crew but the fans. They are the ones who made it happen,” he emphasised.
