Namibia started off the first half wasting chances as Elmo Kambindu squandered back-to-back goal-scoring opportunities. The two teams played to a goalless draw but Namibia advanced on the away goal rule after beating the islanders 2-0 in the first leg away from home. The Brave Warriors looked the brighter side, keeping hold of the ball and dominating play going forward.It was however an off-day at the office for most of the players who never really got things going in the match.Immanuel Heita was one of the players in the match that really looked like he was eager to put things together.Heita made a few crucial passes and was able to control the midfield for most of the time.Brave Warriors keeper Ratanda Mbazuvara was almost like a spectator for most time of the match given that the Comoro Islands had little going on in the Brave Warriors' half.However, the islanders had a couple of free kicks awarded to them in dangerous positions, but were less threatening when their dead ball specialist was off target with balls that could have proven dangerous for the home side. Interim coach Bobby Samaria introduced last season's Premier League top-scorer Isaskar Gurirab in a bid to improve things going forward. The second half was however played at a pedestrian's pace which was not really welcomed by the home fans.Namibia however emerged to the next round after doing most of the job away from home with a 2-0 victory in the Comoro Islands about a fortnight ago.Forty-seven teams are engaged in the battle for 15 places to join hosts Ethiopia for the finals of the sixth edition of the Chan tournament.Jesse Jackson Kauraisa
