Boulter murder case halted

Murder-accused Harvey Boulter, who was last year released on N$500 000 bail, made a brief court appearance in the Kamanjab Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
This while a letter - dated 10 January - from the Prosecutor General’s Office informed the court that investigations are still incomplete.
Magistrate Immanuel Udjombala relaxed Boulter's bail conditions. Instead of reporting to a Windhoek police station every Wednesday, he will now be able to report to Henties Bay and Kamanjab police stations.
Boulter has frequently received permission from the investigation officer to travel to these two locations, and said these new conditions will make it easier for the State. His case was remanded to 25 April.
Boulter’s lawyer Kadhila Amoomo said the letter from the PG’s office was “clearly prepared [at the] last minute”.
“Even the author of the letter did not read the docket. They must be able to tell us which type of investigation is not [complete].”
Boulter is accused of killing his farm manager, Gerhard van Wyk, at Kamanjab in the Kunene Region in February 2021.
