The accident occurred at about 17:00 approximately 15km from Karibib. According to Erongo Commissioner Otillie Kashuupulwa, a Quantum minibus travelling from Karibib towards Okahandja and a red Golf travelling from the opposite direction collided.
“The minibus was carrying 11 passengers of which two died at the scene. The impact of the collision caused the minibus to overturn. Five other passengers sustained serious injuries and four sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Golf who was alone died at the scene. The other two deceased were (a female and a male) passengers in the minibus. The deceased have not yet been identified,” she said.
